A wave of major development deals, totaling more than $90 billion, was unveiled at the Pennsylvania Energy and Innovation Summit, hosted by Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.

Hosted by Pennsylvania GOP Sen. Dave McCormick, the event drew political heavyweights, including Trump and Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, as well as top investors and tech executives.
McCormick hailed the agreements as a catalyst for tens of thousands of new jobs, positioning Pennsylvania as a national leader in energy and artificial intelligence. “We’re entering a new era of industrial growth,” he said.
Among the headline deals: New Jersey-based CoreWeave will invest $6 billion in a Lancaster data center; Blackstone pledged $25 billion toward natural gas and data infrastructure; Google committed over $3 billion to modernize hydropower facilities and more than $25 billion for AI infrastructure across the region. Google also announced its AI Works for Pennsylvania training initiative.
Canada’s Capital Power announced a $1.3 billion purchase of a gas plant in Snyder County, Pennsylvania, with another $3 billion planned for future investments.
“This is just the beginning,” said McCormick. “These projects will not only strengthen our economy but help make America energy dominant in the age of AI.”
