While road-tripping through the heart of Postindustrial America, Founder Carmen Gentile met fantastic artists in Indiana and Ohio you need to know about.
Just a quick note: I need to fill you in on a small part of the amazing week I had on the road, where I encountered incredible folks in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio.
In Indianapolis, I met several incredible artists with the Harrison Center, a community-based, nonprofit arts organization that “seeks to be a catalyst for renewal in the city of Indianapolis.”
I was fortunate to receive a private tour of the center from Executive Director Joanna Taft, which included the work of talented young artist Israel Solomon, among many others.
There’s loads more to unpack from that experience, which I’ll share with you soon.
Then, in Yellow Springs, Ohio, a lively arts community that’s also Dave Chappelle’s hometown, I caught up with Migiwa Orimo, whose creations and activism we recently featured.
More details and video from Indianapolis and Yellows Springs to come as well.
Stay tuned!
