Baltimoreans from across the city celebrated five decades of activism, commitment, and kindness in the LGBTQIA+ community and beyond during its “50 Shades of Pride” parade this week.

Thousands of attendees wore costumes, waved flags, and showed off their Pride swag as Baltimore showed its support.
The procession partied all the way from the intersection of Charles Street and North Avenue to Charles and 29th Avenue.

The celebration continued at Wyman Park afterward, followed by the Charles Street Promenade later that same evening, and was well-attended despite high temperatures and muggy weather.
This year’s grand marshals included Senator Angela Alsobrooks, Council President Zeke Cohen, and Dr. S. Raheem.
Still, the float for Mayor Brandon Scott’s office appeared to be staffed without Scott himself.
