Ben Lando

Ben Lando moved to Baghdad in 2009 and founded the Iraq Oil Report, which specializes in covering developments in the energy sector, politics, and security in Iraq. He’s also freelanced for The Wall Street Journal, Time Magazine, The Economist, and others. In 2013, Ben moved back to his hometown in Kalamazoo, Mich., and in 2019 founded NowKalamazoo.com, an online news startup covering vital community issues.
