Maryland residents can expect more summertime heat, accompanied by an extra dose of humidity.

Temperatures will reach the low 90s, typical for this time of year, but high humidity will push “feels-like” conditions closer to 100° both today and tomorrow.
In addition to the heat, there’s the threat of storms.
A warm front moving in today will linger until tomorrow, raising the potential for isolated strong to severe thunderstorms.
Damaging winds pose the greatest threat, and any storm could dump heavy rainfall in a short period.
Relief is coming—but not immediately.
Early next week will be hot and humid, though generally calmer. Another cold front is expected midweek, bringing more storms.
By next weekend, temperatures are expected to dip below average, and humidity levels will finally ease, offering Maryland a welcome respite from the heat in August.
