Emmai Alaquiva uses the power of art to raise awareness. He recently created a public service announcement, “Unspeakable,” focused on American Sign Language and the Black deaf community.
Alaquiva is an Emmy Award-winning producer, and composer. He also is CEO of Ya Momz House, a multimedia agency in Pittsburgh.
Carmen Gentile has worked for The New York Times and CBS News, among others. His book, “Blindsided by the Taliban,” documents his life as a war reporter and the aftermath of his brush with death after being shot with a rocket-propelled grenade while embedded with U.S. Army forces in Afghanistan. He is a founder and editor-at-large of Postindustrial Media.
