From Atlanta to Detroit, Columbus to Cleveland, and all across Postindustrial America, protests erupted over the killing of a woman in Minneapolis by a masked ICE agent.
Thousands made their voices heard, calling for the Trump-backed immigration force to cease all operations and leave their cities.
While some protests struck a defiant tone that amplified the outrage of demonstrators, others were more somber, like the candlelight vigil held in Nashville for the victim of the ICE slaying, 37-year-old Renee Good.
Meanwhile, Trump and his officials, including Ohio-born Vice President JD Vance, struck a defiant tone in their defense of the ICE officer who killed Good, identified as Jonathan Ross.
More protests are expected over the weekend.
