The Big Apple and The Burgh are working together to celebrate some incredible art inspired by industry!

In a bold cross-city collaboration, the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh (AAP) has partnered with the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition (BWAC) to present Brooklyn x Pittsburgh: The Industry of Art, a juried exhibition featuring over 140 works by artists with ties to both cities.
Juried by Eric Shiner—former director of The Andy Warhol Museum and current President of Brooklyn’s Powerhouse Arts—the show draws on Pittsburgh’s artistic legacy while giving contemporary creators a platform in the heart of New York’s art scene.

“In the footsteps of Andy Warhol, it’s important for Pittsburgh artists to connect with New York,” says Shiner. “This exhibition creates space for connection, exchange, and growth.”
AAP Executive Director Madeline Gent notes that Shiner was instrumental in forming the partnership.
“After visiting BWAC, Eric immediately saw the synergy between our organizations. We’re thrilled to have him on board.”
