“The Shape of Things” exhibition has given me the opportunity to arrange my work in a way that focuses on the negative, which is as equally important as the positive shapes.
I arrange them thoughtfully, organically, and with subtle and bold placements, resulting in a rich flow of color and patterns.
The paintings are created on birch wood panels by mixing and pouring latex and oil paints simultaneously.

Many layers result in a balance of unforeseen elements and happy accidents, which I celebrate.
For me, painting is an intimate, self-involved craft, a gestural marriage of materials.
The resulting abstract compositions highlight my pure love of paint.”
