The veteran population in the United States is estimated at more than 21 million. Veterans make up a large percentage of family, friends, neighbors and coworkers in our region.
That’s one of the reasons Postindustrial Media is dedicated to covering the issues affecting the veterans community.
Using data from the U.S. Census Bureau, we’ve created a state-by-state breakdown of the veteran population in each state in Postindustrial America. Only parts of some states, like North Carolina and New York, fall into our coverage area, though we included the entire respective state’s population in our regional breakdown.
These figures are from 2015, the most recent year available.
